Greek One Spice Basic Uses

Basic uses for Greek One Spice®:

Egg & Cheese toasty: Sprinkle Greek One Spice® over scrambled eggs instead of salt & pepper.  Spread Dijon mustard on the inside of bread.  Place your eggs and cheese on top, cook.

Avocado or Tomato on toast: Use instead of S&P

Marinated Steaks: In a shallow dish, mix 2 TBSP oil, ½ cup balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, 2 TBSP honey, ¼ cup soy sauce, 2 minced garlic cloves and a ½ tsp Greek One Spice® marinate turning at least once at 1-2 days.

Roasted veggies: Potatoes, kumara, carrots, redpeppers, onions and garlic.  Oil veggies with olive oil and then sprinkle Greek One Spice® and bake at 180° C (350°F) degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Chicken, Lamb, Beef or Pork : Rub lemon juice on the meat then olive oil.  Sprinkle Greek One Spice® over meat, bake at 180° C (350°F) degrees to the proper internal temperature.  Click here for recommended temperatures

Marinated Greek Chicken:In a large zip lock bag put ¼ cup olive oil, the juice of one lemon and then throw in the lemon halves too. Two fresh garlic cloves,  minced.  1 teaspoon Greek One Spice®.  Place Chicken legs & thighs in the bag, marinate for one to two days and then cook on the BBQ….slowly….yum!

Potato Salad: Boil potatoes in their jackets.  Cool and peel. Cut into chunks. Add 2 celery stalks and 1 medium onion copped fine. Mix ½ cup of salad dressing with 1 tsp of Greek One Spice® mix thoroughly and mix through your potato salad.  Top with sliced boiled eggs.  Place in refrigerator for at least two hours.

Pasta salad: Follow same directions as potato salad substituting potatoes with your favorite pasta.

Mashed Potatoes: After peeling and boiling potatoes drain thoroughly and put back into pot.  Put in desired amount of butter or spread, cover until melts.  Add warm milk or cream and mash with masher.  Then season with Greek One Spice® (½ teaspoon per 4 medium potatoes)and whip or use electric hand blender until smooth.

Sprinkle on: Eggs, fish, in stews, roast, soups, and steaks or on any other dish where Greek One Spice® will complement the flavor
